The 3 Mistakes Wholesalers & Investors Do in Their Craigslist Marketing

Over the years, we’ve sent tens of thousands of emails and messages to sellers over Craigslist…

And I’ve tested A LOT of different approaches to find what works & what bombs (I still do).

And it always amazes me when I get a message from other wholesales/Investors to some of the listings I have.

I honestly feel bad for them, because I know how much time & money they’re wasting with the type of strategy they’re following.

Mistake #1…

Often I see a lot of investors using almost the SAME message…

“The blind leading the blind”.

I’m not going to talk about the “ethical dilemma” of copy/pasting someone else’s message/marketing without their consent…

But think about this for a moment from a seller’s perspective, who’s getting the same message from different marketers.

At a minimum, they just ignore them. And if you’ve been on Craigslist for a while, you’d know that a lot of scammers do stuff like this.

They send such messages from different accounts just to catch attention.

Mistake #2…

They jump right into the offer in their FIRST message!

“Hi, would you sell your house on owner finance?”

They’re like the telemarketers I hang up on the first 5 seconds into the conversation.

Sellers are BOMBARDED with sales & marketing messages. Pitches are coming at them from all places.

By simply coming across as a “normal buyer”, you’ll set yourself apart from everyone else.

Mistake #3…

They do it for a while, get some leads, sign a contract and then they stop! (until they need another contract again.)

If you’re on/off in sending out your marketing, you’ll find scaling up your business will take forever!

Nothing is more important than being consistent in your marketing.

Now those are just few of the mistakes I see over and over…

And chances are if you don’t have a dialed in marketing system and you have a VA handling it for you…

You’re doing one of these mistakes.

If you want to implement a system in your business that frees you up from generating leads and consistently keeps your pipeline filled up…
